So far we have top tip sheets covering:

Special interview: Sol Campbell: He is what he eats !
Sol Campbell, central defender for Arsenal and England gives AFC Lightning an inkling into what he eats.
* Diet when training: Pasta or rice with fish, spinach and lots of fruit. No alcohol. * Pre-match meal: Rice and fish, yoghurt and water.
“I have to be conscious of what I eat, I try to eat the right foods. Mostly I eat pasta and rice and a mix it up with fish. When I was young I used to hate the stuff, but now my tastes have matured and I’ve got into it. Every now and again I might indulge in a bar of chocolate. It’s difficult to eat the rights things 100% of the time, but when I’m training it’s important that I eat the right things to fuel my body.
If it’s a week when I’m just playing on a Saturday I eat lots of fruit and top everything up in my body steadily, because I lose so much in training. I also have extra carbohydrates two days before a game for more energy.
For a pre match meal I have a yogurt at the start to line my stomach. Then I eat pasta, or rice and fish. I need at least two hours digesting time before a game, whole I sip (not gulp) plenty of water.
Nutrition is controlled at the club but the lads eat properly anyway because they know how important it is. You’ve got to look after your body and sleep well. I’m not much of a drinker and I stick to water, Cranberry and Orange juice”.
