 A few word from Tony Killinger - “My name is Tony and I will be managing the girls under 12's Team for the 2007/8 season. I have three children, two boys and a girl and although they all love football it is my daughter who decided it was going to be her main hobby after playing in the school team. At the time AFC Lightning were promoting girl's football, I took her along and was amazed at the quality and professionalism of the training and enthusiasm of the coaching staff. After a few weeks I realised that not only was my daughter having a great time and meeting new friends but I was enjoying watching, so when I was offered the opportunity to get involved I did. We had a great season last year and it was fantastic to see the improvement of all the girls, they won and lost games but always had a smile on their faces. From a personal point of view, I think the foundations have been laid for a very successful Girls team and I intend to make sure that all girls regardless of their ability come to AFC Lightning and have a great time, get fit, meet new friends and improve their football skills. Incidentally both my sons have since joined!”
Training
Training is on a Saturday morning at The Misbourne School from 10:00 - 11:30.
