Welcome to AFC Lightning

We are a family friendly junior football club, now coming to the end of another successful season.  This year we are playing with our new name AFC Lightning (formerly we were called AFC Holmer Green). We are based in South Buckinghamshire playing and training in the beautiful surrounds of The Misbourne School, Great Missenden and Lightning Park, Cryers Hill for older age groups.

We’re affiliated to the Berks & Bucks FA and playing in the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference, Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League and the Bucks Girls Football League.

We have over 200 children playing in our various teams, aged between 5 and 16 years old and since April 2005, we've made great progress in establishing ourselves as the region's top pace setter.

Player Presentations - Sunday 11 May 2008

Players presentations from 13:30 a chance to celebrate the season and receive a trophy - don’t forget your camera. We will also be offering a boot exchange. All takes place at Lightning Park.

Parents Matches  - Sunday  11 May 2008

Parents matches will be taking place as a pre cursor to the player presentations at 1330 hours.  All being well, the matches will start at 1000 and end at 1300. Set-up 0900.  Teams will consist of a minimum of 6 PARENT players and a maximum of 10 - 1 at least must be female and remain on pitch at all times. Trainers NOT boots + shin pads.

There will be a £1 match fee per player in order to pay for drinks and other small expenses, anything left-over will be donated to the club. All takes place at Lightning Park.
